Detroit: Become Human – PGW 2017 Gameplay Trailer | PS4

During the PlayStation presentation at Paris Games Week, Sony presented a brand new Detroit: Become Human trailer that confirms the game’s release window. After initially being penciled in for a 2018 launch, Sony now says that Quantic Dream’s narrative title will be available in spring 2018. Unfortunately, the new trailer was not any more specific than that, meaning the game could launch anytime between March 20 and June 21.

The trailer gives some insight into the history of Kara as a character, and the trials and tribulations she’s faced.  Kara is forced to become both caretaker and protector for a little girl named Alice, as her neglectful father makes more and more disastrous choices. The father, Todd, even gets violent as Kara starts to question those choices more and more.

It’s up to players to guide Kara and the other characters in the game through increasingly difficult choices over the course of the game.

There’s no doubt that Quantic Dream will want to do everything they can to make player agency and choice matter in Detroit: Become Human, as those ideas are central to the game story.

Detroit: Become Human releases in spring, 2018 exclusively on PS4.
